What is this about?
Your probably reading this article because you want to find out how you can visit and surf social websites like My Space and Facebook when your at school or work. You might also be here because you want to learn how to surf websites anonymously and hide your IP address from hackers and people wanting to steal your personal information. Either way, You should definitely bookmark this page as this list of information is updated frequently and can be very valuable during your online experience as a web surfer.

Below you will find a list of what they call "Proxies" or web sites that allow you to surf web pages anonymously. These pages work like so. First, You visit one of the proxies or anonymous web page surfer sites listed below in the compiled list. You type in the address of the website that your not able to visit while at work/school, or even the website you want to visit anonymously into the text box on the proxy page. Once you click the "Browse" or "Surf" button on that site, you will be taken to the page that you specified in the URL box. When you visit one of the proxy websites, you are connecting to their server instead of the server of say "Myspace" in this example. Then when you type in Myspace.com, your request to visit that website goes through the server that the proxies website is sitting on. So technically, It's kind of like a daisy chain effect. Everything that you do when your surfing from the proxy goes through the proxy website first and then the website/destination (e.x. myspace.com) your surfing. This also means when your using one of the free proxies, your IP address becomes that of the server. This means when your using one of the proxies on the list below, your IP address and other personal details never show up at that website.

Why?
There are lot's of reasons why you may not want your IP address to be shown. Hackers are known to obtain this kind of information about you in their attempts to hack or crack into your computer and steal other personal information like credit card details, or even passwords to your email accounts. One specific advantage I can see to using one of these would be when visiting someone's Myspace. Now a days, Most people have a IP tracker of some sorts on their profile. This allows them to see who exactly is visiting their Myspace Profile Page and then it starts to gather your IP address and other statistical information like what your viewing when browsing on their profile. Now if you want to visit someone's Myspace page and you think that their running a tracker like of what I explained above, then you'll want to use one of these free proxy anonymous surfer sites so your IP Address comes up as something else originating from an entirely different state. When you visit their profile, they will have no clue who is visiting it. The advantages to using a proxy or anonymous web site surfer are endless, and there's so many other things you can do with them as you can see.

Abuse Issues:
As anyone knows, all good things eventually come to a phasing end :( When your dealing with proxies it brings a lot of abusive issues along with them. Hackers, Spammers, and Computerized/Programmed Internet Bots tend to use proxies to get around spam protection and other rules that websites have set in place. They also tend to use this to avoid being banned from a specific server. For instance, If someone is going to someones website and leaving rude or degrading remarks, the webmaster of that website will ban them by their IP address normally. Now all the abuser has to do is reconnect to the proxy page to get a new IP address or simply use a different one. Now they can go back and continue their abusive activities. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you please not use the free proxies on the list below for abusive reasons. This is one of the reasons why these kinds of websites die so fast. I'll do my best to check them all once and awhile and remove the ones that no longer work and add new ones that I come across..... Now! On to the list!

Here is a list of confirmed FREE Proxies or FREE Website/Webpage anonymous surfer sites that you can use.
